The ME0709 has more torque than the ME0708 and has the advantage of running slower which is nice so you don't have to do so much gear reduction. If you are interested in getting the maximum amount of performance for this motor, take a look at kit # 4 that runs this motor at 72 volts

The advantage of this motor & controller combination is the ability to have a regenerative braking & to reverse without the use of a reversing contactor. This motor has an internal fan and more mass than the PM Motors above. It is a bit heavier but with the added mass & internal fan, it allows you to get more peak power without overheating the motor which is a nice feature if you would like to accelerate for a longer period of time such as used in sandrails & off-road buggies. This also makes an excellent boat motor.
Same features as the Kit # 5 above but allows to get more peak power & the Navitas controllers has some added features of a brake input so you can turn regen on & off at will, the ability to program any coil voltage from 72 volts down to 12 volts so you are not restricted on what main contactor to use & CAN interface.
